Eng. Serena Pagliula served as a consultant for the Municipality of Lecce for the European project “PLANHEAT – Integrated tool for empowering public authorities in the development of sustainable plans for low carbon heating and cooling” (GA no. 723757), handling the management of technical and administrative activities in support of the Municipality.
The project, funded under the European Horizon 2020 research and development program, aims to develop and validate through real case studies an integrated georeferenced tool for mapping, planning and simulating heating and cooling systems at the local level, with the purpose of identifying future low-carbon and economically feasible energy supply scenarios, in line with expected energy demand. Within the project, experimental activities were carried out to test and validate the integrated tool developed, on three Cities, called Validation Cities: Lecce (Italy), Antwerp (Belgium) and Velika Gorica (Croatia).
