The project consists of executive design, construction management, measurement and accounting, preparation of the certificate of proper execution, and safety coordination during the design and execution phases of the energy efficiency improvement intervention for the public lighting system in the historic center of Ugento.

The Municipality of Ugento was recognized in 2008 as a City of Art by the Puglia Region for its commitment to the recovery, restoration, and enhancement of cultural heritage. The area agreed upon with the administration for the execution of the energy efficiency improvement project for the public lighting system constitutes part of the historic center.

The project, in addition to improving the energy performance of the lighting system, was functional for enhancing the ancient village and restoring the original street lamps that had deteriorated over time.
